Architectural sustainability
In line with the Sustainable Development Goals of the 2030 Agenda, FDCA Asesores works in the design of new buildings and in the rehabilitation of historic buildings with the aim of meeting the most demanding sustainability criteria, seeking to apply efficient and environmentally friendly solutions, adapted to each specific situation or the cataloging of the building, always seeking a balanced approach between energy efficiency, respect for heritage and environmental conservation.
This commitment to sustainability in the field of rehabilitation and new construction translates into the following concrete actions.
Improving building insulation without damaging the original structure
- Introduction of thermal insulation in roofs and walls: traditional buildings often have very thick walls, which offers a great opportunity to improve insulation without damaging the original structure by applying low-impact insulating materials in roofs or interior walls.
- Introduction of insulation in windows: the installation of double or triple glazed windows with anti-radiation filters that respect the original design is an efficient way to improve thermal insulation in order to reduce heat loss or gain.
- Aerothermal heat pump: a sustainable option in the use of an aerothermal heat pump, this discrete air conditioning system is very efficient with the use of underfloor heating, as it works at low temperature, does not alter the aesthetics of the place, does not occupy interior space and improves thermal comfort.
- Geothermal heat pump: if the terrain allows it, the installation of a geothermal heat pump system can be an excellent option for the implementation of sustainable heating and cooling in new or rehabilitated buildings. This system takes advantage of the constant temperature of the ground to transfer heat in winter and coolness in summer.
- Introduction of ventilation systems with heat recovery: as part of our commitment to sustainable design, we incorporate mechanical ventilation systems equipped with state-of-the-art heat recovery units, capable of optimizing the energy exchange between indoor and outdoor air. Optionally, we integrate enthalpy exchangers in projects where the regulation of environmental humidity is key, achieving exceptional thermal comfort and air quality.
- Introduction of LED lighting systems: efficient lighting is key in retrofit projects when using LED technology, reducing energy consumption .
- Introduction of photovoltaic panels, generating clean energy to support the HVAC system, lighting and other building services.
We are committed to designing architectural and retrofit solutions that promote energy efficiency and responsible use of resources. Our approach is based on adapting industry best practices to minimize environmental impact without compromising functionality or aesthetics.
